Start with a memorable iftar

Breaking fast is the heart of every Ramadan evening. Abu Dhabi's hotels and restaurants go all out with lavish Iftar spreads with Arabic mezze, slow-cooked stews, fresh juices and tables groaning with desserts.

For something special, book a tent-style experience at one of the city's iconic venues, where the setting is just as memorable as the food.

Wander the malls after dark

Ramadan shopping hits different. With malls open until 1 or 2 am, there's no rush, just relaxed browsing, seasonal collections and a buzzing atmosphere. Head to Yas Mall, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, or Abu Dhabi Mall after 9 pm for the best energy.

Explore traditional souks

For a more soulful evening, lose yourself in the city's traditional markets. Mina Zayed Souq comes alive at night with carpets, spices and dates perfect for gifting. The Gold Souq at Madinat Zayed is another favourite for those seeking something timeless.

Stroll the Corniche

Sometimes the simplest plans are the sweetest. A post-Iftar walk along the Corniche offers sea breezes, city views and plenty of space for kids to run free. Stop for ice cream, spread out a blanket or just enjoy the evening air.

Catch a late-night cultural experience

Keep an eye out for special Ramadan events at places like Qasr Al Watan or the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which often extend hours or host evening programmes during the holy month. It's culture without the daytime heat.

End with a suhoor gathering

The night doesn't have to end at midnight. Many cafés and restaurants serve Suhoor—the pre-dawn meal—into the early hours. It's a lovely way to stretch out the evening with loved ones before the next day's fast begins.
