The building’s centrepiece is a vast silvery dome. Despite its apparent weightlessness, the dome weighs 7,500 tons – around the same weight as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Inspired by the cupola, a distinctive feature in Arabic architecture, the dome is a complex structure composed of 7,850 stars. As the sun passes through, geometric patterns adorn the museum with beautiful shadows known as the 'rain of light'.

How much does an entry ticket cost?
Ticket prices for Louvre Abu Dhabi vary by category, with reduced rates available for selected groups, including UAE teachers and military personnel. Entry is free for children under 18, senior UAE residents, People of Determination and certain accredited card holders.
