Play at this interactive art museum

The immersive digital art installations at teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi are built to respond. Light, air and water generate visual worlds that shift with your movement and touch. The art changes depending on who is in the room and how they move through it.

In Order in Chaos, countless strokes of colour reorganise as you move through the space, forming patterns that appear and dissolve. Light Vortex draws you into swirling structures inspired by the movement of ocean currents.

Architecture and design

Located on the waterfront in Saadiyat Cultural District, the building's white exterior curves into organic forms that echo the movement of the installations inside.

The interior unfolds as a sequence of vast, connected spaces rather than traditional galleries. Each installation expands across different rooms and you can move through freely. There's no prescribed route and no obvious place where one work ends and another begins.

Beyond the art

After the installations, Anko, the museum's Japanese patisserie, is worth stopping for. Wagashi confections and seasonal desserts, crafted with precision, in a setting that's deliberately calm after everything that came before it.
