Organised by New York University Abu Dhabi Institute
One of the most famous women falconers in the world shares the story of how her childhood passion for falconry and birds of prey grew into a life shaped by her obsession.
She explores the deepest lessons that falconry and the natural world have taught her over the years and shows how the intimate, ancient partnership between human and hawk can bring extraordinary insights and rewards.
Increasingly we view the natural world as something separate from us and not really relevant to our lives and Macdonald shows how falconry can have a unique role in maintaining and encouraging close and respectful interactions with nature.
