Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

Organised by Masdar City

The largest sustainability gathering in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is dedicated to furthering understanding of the major social, economic and environmental trends shaping the world’s sustainable development and to empower the global community to work on effective strategies to mitigate climate change. The week will include ten major events, conferences and summits including:

- The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Assembly
- The Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum
- The ADSW Opening Ceremony & Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony
- The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) Expos, Forums & Initiatives
- The Climate Innovation Exchange (CLIX) 
- The Youth 4 Sustainability Hub
- Future Skills 2030
- WISER Forum (Women In Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy)

The conferences will highlight several important topics related to the sustainability sector, such as energy and climate change, water and food, future of mobility, space, biotechnology, as well as technology for good. A sustainability Bus has been travelling the country across the seven emirates since November 28, to key locations in order to educate local communities about sustainability and climate change. The bus will be at the Abu Dhabi Corniche - East Plaza from January 9 till 11 and will end its journey at The Festival at Masdar City. This campaign is a great opportunity to engage local communities across all the seven emirates of the UAE to raise awareness about the ADSW’s commitment to sustainable development.
