A gastronomic feast awaits visitors to the first Abu Dhabi Food Festival to be held emirate-wide this February 5 - 21.
International and local chefs will be demonstrating their skills and menus from around the world in creating culinary delights to suit every taste and palate, and for the whole family.
The festival will reach out to residents and visitors alike over two weeks and three weekends and is supported by the emirate’s leading hotels, restaurants, malls and main attractions.
The event features a grand banquet comprising a three course affair: ‘Gourmet Abu Dhabi’ presenting food for the connoisseur, ‘The Emirati Kitchen’ offering a taste of Emirati Culture and ‘Street Feast’ for an inviting feast on the road!

Celebrate authentic local cuisine from February 5 to 7 at The Emirati Kitchen, located at the East Plaza on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche.
The Emirati Kitchen offers a taste of Emirati culture by bringing in awareness and promoting the legacy of traditional food. Some of the country’s most noted chefs will make appearances, demonstrating how to make traditional Emirati dishes and recipes, and offering visitors a true taste of Emirati culture.
Numerous masterclass workshop sessions will be held by the chefs with guests able to create a traditional Emirati dish under expert guidance and supervision.
Chef Khulood Atiq, the country’s first and only female celebrity chef will open the event on Thursday afternoon with her own cooking masterclass at the East Plaza and she will be on hand to offer advice and demonstrations over all three days.
She will be joined by Emirati TV chef Ali Salem Edbowa, currently Executive Chef at the Mezlai restaurant at Emirates Palace Hotel, where he specialises in traditional local dishes.
A small souk market will form part of the Emirati Kitchen, displaying and selling wares associated with local food. Products available to buy will include talbina, dates, spices, dried and salted fish, kitchen utensils, pottery and traditional sweets.

Experience food from different countries served up by a kitchen caravan of food trucks, all at affordable prices at the region’s very first Street Feast, running over three successive weekends across the emirate.
The caravan of food trucks will begin the festival’s activities in Madinat Zayed in the Western Region on from February 5 until February 7.
The following weekend, Street Feast heads to ِAl Jahili Park in Al Ain, and then from February 19 to 21 the food trucks will head to the capital and base themselves on the West Plaza of the Corniche.
Ten international traders will be coming all the way from the UK especially for this event and be joined by a further 11 Emirati street food vendors, who will be representing the best of this exciting new food movement, serving a diverse range of dishes ranging from pizzas, tapas to lamb curries and gourmet burgers.
Among the vendors from the UK will be ATE Street Food specialising in slow cooked meat sliders; Indians Next Door offering lamb raan curries in a naan wrap, and Yogusensi with its freshly squeezed fruit bar.
Emirati vendors will include SALT, the UAE’s first burger truck; Jones the Grocer with a wide variety of local and international food and Desert Chill – for all those ice cream lovers.
