Known for its high-octane supercar haven and finest architectural feats, the capital city is back on the silver screen with action flick '6 Underground' marking the return of Netflix to Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi is a unique place to make a movie, with a lot of great looks. It’s got the diversity and architecture I need in front of the camera — plus the professional facilities, crew and infrastructure to back it up. I’m very excited to be shooting here over the next few weeks.
Michael Bay — Director
Embark on a journey through the vast expanse of Abu Dhabi's Liwa desert landscape through six untraceable agents who have buried their pasts to change the future...following a convoy of helicopters and red sand dunes below blowing in their wake.
Featuring the Aldar HQ building with masked accomplices scaling the side of the unique structure, the iconic Rain of Light dome of the Louvre Abu Dhabi with the water and inscriptions of its atrium, skyscrapers of Al Reem Island against a backdrop of blazing explosions and the rocky mountains of Jebel Hafit, the adrenaline-fuelled scenes showcase Abu Dhabi's most mesmerising locations.
We are delighted to see Abu Dhabi yet again featuring so prominently in a major international production. It was a pleasure to welcome Netflix back to our Emirate and to support such a smooth and seamless shoot.
