Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club

See All

This club supports a wide range of marine sports, including powerboating, jet skiing, sailing, kayaking, wakeboarding and waterskiing. Abu Dhabi was the first Arabian Gulf city to organise a UIM Formula One Powerboat Race, with powerboat racing now attracting a large and passionate audience. For this exciting event, 20 to 24 boats representing 12 nations compete at high speed along a narrow, twisting course off Abu Dhabi Corniche, with local and international spectators made up of families and friends enjoying the spectacle from the shore.

This club also organises the annual President's Cup F2000 Powerboat Championship, the National Regatta, the National Jet Ski Championship, and the UAE Wooden Powerboat Championship, all of which encourage young Emiratis to embrace their marine heritage. Each season sees two regattas for modern sailing boats, including catamarans, Lasers and windsurfers, which are open to all ages and nationalities.
