Yes. Flyboarding is treated similarly to other personal watercraft (PWC) activities as outlined in Abu Dhabi Maritime’s Personal Watercraft Handbook. Participants must wear lifejackets and, and operating near swimmers, marine protected areas or within 60 metres of others is prohibited.
How long can a flyboard fly?
Most flyboarding sessions last 15 to 30 minutes, which is plenty of time to get airborne, find your balance and try a few tricks if you’re feeling bold. The flyboard itself is powered by a jet ski, and as long as there's fuel and control, it can keep you hovering above the water for the entire session.
