Falconry, the oldest bond in the desert
Falconry isn't a heritage performance. It's a daily practice for thousands of Emiratis, descended from desert hunting, where trained falcons put food on the table. UNESCO recognised it in 2010, and the birds are still trained the old way: trust built over months, not weeks.
The Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital treats over thousands of falcons a year and runs public tours through the wards, where you meet the birds up close. Book ahead, they fill fast.
