How to spot the real thing
The honest answer: look at the back. Handmade pieces show irregular stitching, natural dye variation and imperfect geometry. That's the point. Factory versions are too uniform, made in bulk somewhere far from the Gulf. And ask the seller where a piece was made: in reputable shops that's a normal question with a straight answer, and if someone can't tell you, that tells you something.
