UFC returns to its international home in Abu Dhabi for Fight Island Triple Header Week that will see the return of fans to live events as Etihad Arena hosts its inaugural events.
Marking a momentous return for spectators to live sports events in the region, UFC FIGHT ISLAND Triple Header begins with the first UFC event of 2021 on Saturday, 16 January, headlined by a fan-favourite featherweight bout between No.1 ranked Max Holloway and No.6 Calvin Kattar. On Wednesday, 20 January, Michael Chiesa takes on Neil Magny in a highly anticipated welterweight main event.
Finally, closing out UFC FIGHT ISLAND Triple Header is UFC 257, on Sunday, 24 January, and the return of the 'notorious' Conor McGregor in a rematch against Dustin Poirier.
The Safe Zone concept
The hugely successful safe zone concept will once again be implemented on Yas Island with highest standards of health, safety and hygiene across all facilities. The ‘Go Safe Certification’ standards, which enforces global safety standards of health and hygiene to combat the spread of Covid-19 will be in place across the safe zone and Etihad Arena, guaranteeing an unmatched safe experience for all.
