Steeped in culture and tradition, Meylas was opened by young Emirati, Shaikha Al Kaabi, who dreamt of being able to share authentic Emirati home-cooked meals, passed down through generations, with others.

Meylas means “a place that gathers people”. With its authentic Middle Eastern, 80s-style decor and its delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners, made from mostly local ingredients, Meylas certainly is the place to gather.

On the menu, you’ll find a variety of traditional Emirati meals infused with Shaikha’s touch, such as balaleet (traditional vermicelli noodles infused with saffron and cardamom and topped with an omelette), chbaab (pancakes with date syrup, local honey and cheese), machboos (braised yellow rice with Emirati spices, dry lemon and your choice of meat or fish) and fareed (vegetable stew served with regag bread and chicken or lamb).
