The stunning Al Bateen Beach overlooks Hudayriat Island and its bridge to the west of Abu Dhabi, and enjoys clear, tranquil water ideal for fishing, swimming and waterfront picnics.
Awarded the prestigious Blue Flag sustainability award by the Emirates Wildlife Authority, the beach covers 800 metres of picturesque waterfront. It's the perfect place to play beach volleyball or indulge in water sports activities including kayaking, paddling and more from the beach’s water sports centre. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hire jet skis for a high octane experience in the water.
Al Bateen Beach Abu Dhabi is popular with both expats and locals thanks to its family-friendly vibe, safety and a healthy variety of cafés. Timings for the beach at Al Bateen are from 8am to sunset, however, Al Bateen Beach for Women at the eastern end of the beach is open between 10am and 10pm.
