Located about 30 kilometres off the coast of Abu Dhabi, Delma Island is a vibrant destination teeming with lush vegetation, farmers, fishermen, and a rich heritage.

One of the island's highlights is Bait Al Muraikhi, the former home of the legendary pearl merchant Mohammed bin Jasim Al Muraikhi. Built between the 18th and 19th centuries, this historic residence now houses the Delma Museum.

Reflecting the town's rich pearl trading past, the Museum is a fascinating treasure trove of artefacts from pearling equipment to stone anchors. These items were either collected during the excavation and restoration of the building or donated by local residents. Among the most intriguing exhibits is the midbasah, a traditional device used for storing and pressing dates to produce date syrup.

The island also boasts three other beautifully crafted buildings: the Al Muraikhi Mosque (built late 1800s to early 1900s), the Al Dossari Mosque (constructed in 1931) and the Al Muhannadi Mosque (completed in 1946).
