Majid Al Mohandis is an Iraqi singer and composer. His success in the Arab world has earned him the titles of 'the Engineer of the Arabic song' and 'Voice of Diamond'.
Majid Al Mohandis was born 25, October 1971 in Iraq. He studied Engineering in Baghdad, hence the nickname 'Al Mohandis (المهندس)', which means 'the engineer' in Arabic. Al Mohandis had always aspired to become a musician.
After finishing his higher education, he moved on to pursue his lifelong passion: Music. Majid even worked as a tailor for several years while chasing his artistic ambitions. It was then that he had bought himself his first oud to practice and evolve as a musician.
His artistic breakthrough was with the Stallions Company, where he produced his first artwork, and he released four albums with it, and his fame spread in the Arab countries. His first participation in the Arab Song Festival in Manama in 2001 was a starting point after winning the first prize for the Arabic song, and then the Jordan Festival.
Majid is highly regarded for his powerful and emotive voice as well as his unforgettable and rhythmic musical style. His stage presence never fails to captivate the audience.
