Formed in October 1989 with the intention of advancing the science and practice of orthopaedics and trauma through professional interaction among doctors in the UAE who have an active interest in this field, the conference is a prominent medical organization within the United Arab Emirates, established by the Emirates Medical Association, and dedicated to advancing orthopaedics through education, research, and clinical practice.

Since its first congress in 2011, EOS has played a pivotal role in bringing together orthopaedic surgeons, healthcare professionals, and researchers to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration.
