Tanjore Restaurant, at the Danat Al Ain Resort, is one of the finest Indian restaurants in Al Ain. Tanjore offers a selection of authentic Indian cuisine tailored in traditional tandoori clay ovens, and also uses traditional Indian ingredients in modern dishes. These fusion dishes are sure to please many palates. Lanterns, tapestries and fringed fabric accents add warmth and colour to this grand and cosy restaurant experience.

Traditional starters include onion bhajiya, a harra bharra salad, and paneer dishes. There's a selection of shorbas (soups) and tandoori clay oven specials. Specialities include the Murgh Awadhi Korma Aed (chicken supreme simmered in korma gravy with cashew nuts, coconut and mint), lamb vindaloo and a lobster masala.

There are many vegetarian dishes, such as Kadai Paneer, and Mirch Baigan ka Salan (baby eggplants and chillies simmered in a thick peanut-based sauce with fresh coconut and mustard). Enjoy your main with your choice or rice and raita, and naan, roti or paratha.

End off on a sweet note with kulfi ice cream or the Rasmalai − homemade cottage-cheese dumplings poached in sugar syrup and served with reduced saffron-flavoured milk spiked with pistachio. Delicious!
