La Cava

A wooden spiral staircase leads to the deep underground cellar that is La Cava at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi, the capital's renowned underground cellar, which can seat up to 12 people.

Its ever-popular grape-and-cheese night, '7 ATE 9', is a highlight on the night scene that welcomes visitors to a tasteful pairing of artisanal cheese and a variety of grape.

Cool stone walls, shelves and cabinets made of French oak and American walnut wood display over 1,000 impressive varietals, ranging from boutique to classic. Many of these are extremely rare and impossible to otherwise source in the UAE. La Cava's sommelier is on hand to aid with suggestions and selections. Regular tasting sessions are also organised.
