FAQs about white water rafting

Yes, white water rafting in Abu Dhabi is designed with safety in mind. At Al Ain Adventure Park, all participants are given proper safety gear and a full briefing, and are guided by trained professionals. The course is custom-built and controlled, making it a great introduction to rafting even for first-timers.

White water rafting is available year-round at Al Ain Adventure Park. That said, the most comfortable months are typically October to April, when temperatures are cooler and ideal for outdoor activities.

It’s best to avoid jeans. Opt for quick-drying, lightweight clothing like sportswear or swimwear. Jeans become heavy and uncomfortable when wet, and they may restrict your movement during the activity. Water shoes or secure sandals are also recommended.

White water rafting is a specialised, land-based water activity conducted in artificial environments like the Al Ain Adventure Park, rather than open water. While not governed by Abu Dhabi’s maritime traffic laws, operators must comply with general safety standards including the use of helmets and personal flotation devices (PFDs).

The best – and only – place for white water rafting in Abu Dhabi is Al Ain Adventure Park, located at the base of Jebel Hafit mountain. It’s home to the region’s first artificial white water rafting course.
