After- School Activity: 'Junior Marine Biologist' Program

Children aged 5 to 15 can now engage in an exciting after-school activity in which they will step into the role of being a Marine Biologist at The National Aquarium.

This hands-on activity is a guided program led by an educator that will teach the children how to perform activities professional biologists do on a daily basis, such as animal care, selecting and providing the nutrition to different species, monitoring their environment, and how to enrich the life of the animals under human care.

Additionally, children will have a unique chance to join efforts with the team in taking care of the lovely temporary residents from the Wildlife Rescue Program, the Sea Turtles.
