Rock legends ‘The Straits’ to perform at Destination Village

A one-off performance by The Straits, featuring two original members of iconic British rock band, Dire Straits, will round off Abu Dhabi’s fortnight-long Volvo Ocean Race stopover activation. The free-to-attend 90-minute concert at the Destination Village on Corniche Breakwater will be this Friday, January 13^th, from 9pm.

Fomed on-the-back of unrelenting global demand for live performances of Dire Strait's much-loved catalogue of great songs, The Straits’ Abu Dhabi performance will see genuine rock royals, Alan Clark and Chris White, belt out classics such as Telegraph Road, Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing and Brothers in Arms.

Entrance to the Volvo Ocean Race Destination Village, which is open daily from 11am-11pm and until midnight on weekends, is completely free!
