An educational, family-orientated exhibition, ECO FUTURE, hosted at Manarat Al Saadiyat starting September 27, will offer a glimpse into 2050.
Opening on United Nations’ World Tourism Day – and running for a full year, ECO FUTURE will feature four interactive and futuristic characters - Ali, Moza, Yas and Sara - who will take visitors through six distinct zones: Drinking, Eating, Enjoying, Moving, Building and Future City.
Visitors can get hands-on with games, objects, artefacts, and graphics to explore the environmental and health issues affecting our lives and design solutions to them with their responses recorded on personalised Eco Tags – which will ultimately reveal their own ‘Future City.’
Inspired by Abu Dhabi’s future plans and projects, each zone will address a specific issue on what people need to survive, as well as the impact current lifestyles have on the planet. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of depleting global resources, climate change, over-consumption, sedentary lifestyles and sustainability options.
